1. Overview
This notice explains cookies and similar storage/access technologies used on websitedownwatch.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
The Website Down Watch plugin-owned public marketing and System Status pages are designed without advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. We do not use a consent banner merely to obtain consent for technologies that these pages do not set.
2. Strictly necessary storage
WordPress, security/CDN infrastructure, account areas or service features may use cookies or similar storage where it is necessary to deliver a feature you request, maintain security, remember an essential state or protect the service. Necessary storage is used only for the purpose that makes it necessary.
Examples can include security/challenge state, authenticated account/session state and short-lived technical state needed to complete a requested action. The exact name and lifetime can depend on the WordPress, hosting or security layer serving the request.
3. Checkout and third-party storage
The paid checkout is provided by Freemius as Merchant of Record. Checkout resources are loaded when you choose to open the purchase flow rather than as behavioural advertising on ordinary public pages. Freemius and its payment providers may use storage that is necessary for checkout, fraud prevention, payment, tax, licensing and related compliance, and provide their own privacy/consent information where applicable.
4. Analytics, advertising and other optional technologies
This plugin does not intentionally deploy non-essential behavioural analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking on its public pages. If Website Down Watch later introduces a technology that is not covered by an applicable storage/access exception, it will not be enabled by this plugin before the required consent or other control has been provided.
5. Your controls
You can use your browser controls to inspect, delete or block cookies and site storage. Blocking storage that is strictly necessary for security, account access or checkout may prevent the related feature from working. Where an optional technology requires consent, the relevant interface will provide a way to make or change that choice.
6. Changes to this notice
We review this notice when the public site, checkout or infrastructure changes. If we begin using new non-essential storage, we will update the notice before or when that use begins and add the required control rather than silently treating the new technology as necessary.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies, storage or privacy can be sent to support@websitedownwatch.com or through the Contact page.
